Invented by George Clymer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The most ornate printing press ever made. Renowned for its beauty and ease of operation, its system of compound levers multiplying a light pull on the handle would do the heaviest of forms. An experienced pressman and helper could do 250 sheets per hour. Clymer found his press too costly for the American market and moved to England and entered into a partnership with Samuel Dixon. This press is a Clymer and Dixon. Very few Columbians exist.
