Invented by Richard Cope. The Albion is the second most ornate press ever made. Built by Hopkins & Cope in London, it soon became the chief competitor to the Columbian. The Albion was a little faster than the Columbian, but required more pull on the handle. The Albion is used extensively by private presses in both England and in the United States.
